Christ + 0 examines one of the simplest yet most consequential claims of the New Testament: Jesus Christ is not merely necessary for salvation—He is sufficient.
The Central Question
Has Christ Done Enough?
Many Christians affirm salvation by grace while quietly living as though something remains for them to complete.
Was my repentance sincere enough? Did I surrender enough? Have I remained faithful enough? Did I confess enough? Have I done enough?
Each question eventually turns the believer's attention away from the sufficiency of the Savior and toward the adequacy of his or her own response.
Christ + 0 asks a different question:
Has Christ done enough?
The answer of the gospel is yes.
Salvation rests upon the finished work of Jesus Christ and is received through faith—not completed through human performance.
Gift or Wage?
Two Systems That Cannot Be Mixed
Scripture makes a fundamental distinction between a gift and a wage.
A wage is earned. A gift is received.
Romans 6:23 places eternal life unmistakably in the gift category. Ephesians 2:8–9 describes salvation as God's gift, received through faith and explicitly "not as a result of works."
Christ + 0 explores what happens when religious requirements—even good and biblical responses—are moved from their proper place in Christian discipleship and made conditions for receiving eternal life.
When something must be earned, maintained, or completed by the recipient, it no longer functions as a gift.
Grace does not begin the work and then ask us to finish it.
Three Declarations of a Finished Work
Christ Said, "It Is Finished."
From the cross Jesus declared that His work was complete. Salvation was not mostly accomplished or waiting for the believer's contribution.
Christ Sat Down.
Hebrews contrasts priests who continually stood because their sacrifices were never finished with Jesus Christ, who offered one sacrifice for sins and sat down.
Christ Was Raised.
The resurrection confirms the sufficiency and victory of Christ's saving work. The crucified Savior lives.
The work is done. Nothing remains to be added. It is received.

Scripture repeatedly and clearly presents eternal life as God's gift received through faith in Christ. Difficult or debated passages should therefore be interpreted in their literary, historical, and theological contexts rather than used to overturn the overwhelming weight of clear biblical teaching.
The principle is straightforward:
Clear passages govern difficult passages—not the other way around.
Context matters. Audience matters. And God does not contradict Himself.
